| We are a group of true hunters, dedicated to the preservation of hunting skills to be passed on to future generations. We aspire to create an atmosphere that is fun, relaxing, family oriented, and designed to foster a love of hunting. |
Hunting at Tara
Tara is a year round club. Our members hunt whitetail
deer, raccoon, turkey, gray and fox squirrel, rabbit, dove,
feral hogs, etc. Members are expected to participate
with upkeep such as planting green fields, keeping the
clubhouse clean, cutting firewood, etc. We work as a
team, actually even more like a family. Members are
welcome to use the clubhouse and property during
non-hunting seasons to ride ATVs, dirt bikes, fish in the
3 ponds, or just get away and relax. We have
approximately 3000 acres of well maintained green
fields, hardwoods, cut overs, creek bottoms, pine
thickets, etc. Our membership is limited to 12 with
minor children and spouses welcome. Our house is
old but comfortable with full kitchen, 2 baths, sleeping
quarters, washer/dryer, fireplace, AC, chest freezer,and
outside smoker and grills.

PLEASE be aware of the 2009-2010 Buck restrictions! You can view the new regulations at www.outdooralabama.com Only three antlered bucks (with horns visible above hairline), may be taken during all combined seasons; bow, muzzle- loader, and rifle. One of the three bucks MUST have 4 points 1" or better on one side. Please see the calendar page for updates on scheduled work weekends!!!
